About This Project

Lofdal is a Christian organisation based in Bloekombos, Western Cape, which started in the year 2000. The organisation has a wide variety of outreach projects that they are involved in, their aim is to uplift the Bloekombos community and also extend their services throughout South Africa. There are 9 different projects they are involved in and need (financial)assistance for.

Feeding Projects

Lofdal feeds close to 100 000 mouths a month and is gradually moving towards feeding between 100.000 and 120.000 mouths a month in 6 different areas: Bloekombos, Wallacedene, Strydenburg, Parrow, Maitland and Denovo. All of those are impoverished areas. Lofdal`s vision is to provide food to them on a daily basis.

Eagles Rest Hospice

Eagles Rest Hospice is a care facility where they provide T.L.C to terminally ill cancer and HIV/Aids patients when they or their families are unable to do so. They provide in the immediate needs of their patients as well as provide the requisite support for their families to assist them in coping with the illnesses.

House of Safety Orphanage

They are taking care of more than six orphans and children at risk, providing them the love they need and a place where they can feel safe in. This way they are creating a loving home environment where they can dream and pursue a much brighter future than their past.

Lofdal Christian Academy (School)

Lofdal has 300 children attending their school from the community from Grade R to Grade 4. They also have 6 learners with physical difficulties at the school who won’t give up on their dreams to make a success out of their lives.

Agricultural Development Project (Farming)

Lofdal has recently started their own agricultural development project to obtain fresh products and supply it to their feeding project’s rapid increasing need. In this way they are able to produce more food to feed the multitudes.

Visitors

On a visit to Lofdal Community Projects you will be welcomed by friendly staff and volunteers that are willing to show you around. You can take part in various activities such as preparing food and handing it out to over 500 people in the community, spend time with the children and help them with homework, play with them or read stories.

On a visit to Lofdal projects you will be able to take part in many activities such as helping Lofdal staff with handing out food to the community, read stories and play with the kids, go on a tour of Lofdal and see the many projects they are involved with. See what change Lofdal makes in the lives of these people not just by handing out food but by ministering in the people life as well.
